I’m planning on going on a ~3 week trip to Italy/Greece and am trying to figure out logistics. Does it make sense to fly to Italy first (from JFK or Philly) then hop on a plane to Greece and fly back home from there? Or vice versa?

So I’m going to be in Europe from June 9th to the 18th.
I will be in Florence at 11AM on the 9th. Will take a train to Rome whatever number of days later (~2HR30MIN) then fly to Athens whatever number of days later.(~2HR).
Will be flying home from Athens at noon on the 18th.
My question is how many days to split between all three cities to do all the touristy stuff.
-Duomo Cathedral, climb to the top.
-Galleria del Accademia
-Half day to Pisa
-Maybe Galileo and da Vinci Museums
-Day trip to Pompeii
-Vatican City (Taking my catholic mom so any tips to increase our chances to catch a glimpse of the Pope are appreciated!)
These are the things I’m definitely trying to see. Also open to suggestions of things that I shouldn’t miss and good food that is near landmarks that isn’t hard to find. Maybe any tours that are convenient or cool. Just basically anything that you enjoy about these three cities. I would really appreciate it.
Thank you for all your help.

I was set to fly with Delta this past weekend, and when I got to the airport they told me there was no ticket even though I had a confirmation number. They made me wait two hours, and when I asked about compensation they said there was nothing they could do because I was not denied boarding at the gate.
Any ideas on what I should do, and if I am elligible for compensation?

Does anyone have experience renting through Autoclick. I reserved an automatic transmission in Lisbon for 3 days for ~50€ and feel it may be too good to be true. That price is about 100€ cheaper than the next best price. Furthermore, their reviews online are not great (Facebook Reviews are especially worrisome). I’ve only driven stick (manual) a few times, so I think I’ll need the automatic transmission.
