Hello! My friend and I (both 18) have been planning a summer graduation road trip (June-July) for the last six months and we are stuck between two paths to take. We are leaving from North Carolina and heading west. We have 3 to 4 weeks to travel and currently have two paths that we cannot decide between. Our current route includes South Dakota (Badlands, Black Hills), Devils Tower, Tetons, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain National Park/Boulder, and a number of places inbetween
We are currently stuck between heading up towards Glacier National Park and spending 3-4 days in the Whitefish area or heading towards Utah and spending days in SLC, Canyonlands, and Arches.
We see pros and cons to both and were wondering if any more seasoned travelers could offer some advice on which route they would take. The goal is to camp and take photos the whole way, and our budget is between 3 or 4 grand if that affects which route would be better at all. Thanks!
