Recommend me a vacation I can fly to on Southwest five stars NYC hotels luxury hoteles lujosos 5 estrellas cancun guanajuato five star hotels new york city hoteles en guanajuato cancun

My girlfriend and I (late 20s) would like to take an approximately week-long vacation next month, and are having a difficult time finding the right place for us. We’d like to do the Caribbean, but with a few caveats: we don’t want a spring break party vibe, and if possible we’d like to get there via Southwest airlines, as I have a ton of miles and could cover the entire flight cost.

Here’s their route map: http://ift.tt/1EbccTl

Ideally, we want somewhere with local culture to explore, activities like snorkeling, but also be able to get a massage and drink a cocktail on the beach. We’ve considered Aruba, Jamaica, and the Bahamas, but they each have (apparent) drawbacks. I’ve read tons of people who were disappointed with Jamaica because the locals are aggressive and crime is high. Aruba doesn’t seem like there’s much in the way of local culture, same with the Bahamas.

I should also add that we’d ideally like to stay in a boutique hotel, not a resort. Something quiet and relaxing, but not too remote

So, /travel/, can you think of anything that fits the bill? We’d be open to Mexico too.

tldr: need a recommendation on a quiet, tropical, fun place to spend a week that we can get to via southwest.
